In 2024, Van den Dragt co-initiated the group exhibition ‘ZWRMN’ together with her partner, bringing together ten artists from their network. Over the course  of six months they worked around the theme “swarms.” In line with her broader interest in the relationship between the individual and the collective, she created her first large-scale interactive installation, SOM.

In this work, visitors were invited to explore the tension between individuality and the mass. Upon entering, they picked a unique numbered block from a wall, without instructions. Later, they were asked to place it onto a magnetic wall. Once placed, the number disappeared into the whole.

This simple action led to interesting behavior: some visitors placed their blocks on the edges or apart from the group, trying to stand out. As the wall filled up, it became harder to recognize individual blocks, while a new collective image slowly emerged over the two weekends.
